Have Pets and Selling Your Home?

Are you planning to sell your home? Is it occupied by furry friends? Here are some must-follow tips for home-sellers with pets!

  • Remove them! When showing your home, or holding an open house, try to find an alternate space for your pet. Why risk any scratches, bites, allergies, or hesitant buyers, as a result of your pup or feline friend.
  • A hairy situation. Vacuum all hair from the rugs, the furniture, seat cushions, etc. People with allergies to pets are extremely sensitive to pet hair and dander! The last thing you need is it being a deterrent to your sale!
  • Remove the accessories. Remove the cat box, chew toys, beds, etc. Out of site, out of mind.
  • Deodorize. And we do not mean plug in the wall air fresheners or use the sprays that mix the sent of cat poop with flowers and make it more florally. Our experts recommend using essential oils in a diffuser, which literally grab the scent particles in the air and remove any odors, instead of just masking them.
