The main campus of Florida SouthWestern State College is right in Fort Myers (east of Cape Coral)

Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) also in nearby Fort Myers, now established a Cape Coral satellite offering undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees, including an executive master’s program, a college of business and engineering and biotechnology programs.
